Iro Nikolakea

Studied in the University of Manchester for the Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Philosophy in Architecture; in Architectural Association School of Architecture in London for the AA Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies and in the School of Architecture of Oxford Brookes University for diploma in Urban Design. Currently a Phd Candidate in Panteion University on the Sustainable Development of Museums.

Consultant of architectural firm DEGW in London, in Work Space and Office Design and in Building Evaluation, from 1989 to 1994. Projects in G. Britain and Europe.

Partner of IN ARCHITECTS in Athens since 1994. Design and supervision of office buildings, housing, hotels, civic centres, cultural centres, museums, educational buildings. Conservation and refurbishment of traditional buildings and monuments.

Architect with the Ministry of Culture since 2002. Head architect in the archaeological sites of Mycenae and Diros in Peloponnese. Currently holds the position of Head of the Architectural Department of the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST).
